Tim Zavala, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the Mental Health field since 1998, and in private practice since 2003.
Mental health issues don’t always show up in obvious ways, and we often overlook them or power through because we have to function, attend to responsibilities, get things done. But we struggle and feel off. Many times we suffer in silence. I feel privileged to be able to join with individuals as they work toward positive change and healing in their lives. My specialty areas include: trauma resolution; adjusting to significant life transitions and stressors; managing anxiety and depression. I’d love to walk with you through the next chapter of your life as you increase self-awareness, and learn new ways to grow and thrive.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. I utilize EMDR, CBT and other therapeutic modalities with a strengths-based approach to assist clients as they move toward healing and reduction of suffering.
Deciding to seek therapy is a big step toward reaching your mental health goals, and one that takes a tremendous amount of courage. I’ll meet you on your journey in a respectful, non-judgmental environment where you can be your authentic self, face your struggles, achieve personal growth, and find peace.
